Heating and Cooling Equipment
HVACDid you know that heating and cooling represents approximately 44 percent of your total energy usage? That's right. Consumers spend approximately 6 percent to 12 percent of their gross income paying for residential fuel and energy costs an amount equal to $100 billion annually. The ENERGY STARŪ Residential Heating and Cooling Program is a voluntary program for home heating and cooling systems: furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, air conditioners, and thermostats. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency estimates that consumers could save approximately 10 percent to 40 percent on heating and cooling bills, if they focused on efficiency.
