The ENERGY STARŪ Residential Heating and Cooling (HVAC) Program is a voluntary labeling program for home heating and cooling systems: furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, air conditioners, and thermostats. The goal of all ENERGY STARŪ programs, is to help consumers reduce their overall energy use by identifying energy-efficient products. EPA estimates that consumers could save approximately 10% to 40% on heating and cooling bills.
